AUGUSTO ZIMMERMANN

O professor Augusto Zimmermann é formado cum laude pela PUC-Rio, PhD (Monash), DipEd (Murdoch), CertIntArb (ACICA). É atualmente professor e diretor de direito no Sheridan College em Perth, Austrália Ocidental, e também Professor de Direito (adjunto) na Universidade de Notre Dame na Austrália, campus de Sydney.

O professor Zimmermann também é ex-comissário de reforma da lei na Comissão de Reforma da lei da Austrália Ocidental (2012-2017) e ex-decano associado (pesquisa) na Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Murdoch (2009-2013).

Ele é o fundador e presidente da Associação Australiana de Teoria Jurídica da Austrália Ocidental, o fundador e editor-chefe do The Western Australian Jurist law journal, membro eleito da Academia Internacional para o Estudo da Jurisprudência da Família (IASJF), e ex-vice-presidente da Sociedade Australiana de Filosofia Jurídica (ASLP). Sendo premiado com o Prêmio de Excelência em Pesquisa em 2012 da Universidade de Murdoch.

O Professor Zimmermann é considerado um dos 12 juristas mais influentes da Austrália, segundo a Heritage Foundation, sediada em Washington / DC.
